July has an extra day each year, why not make the most of it? There are events going on all over the Dallas area that you should take advantage of on July 31st. End July off with a bang as we head into August with its many responsibilities.
- Celebrate National Cotton Candy Day. Mercat Bistro in the Harwood District of Dallas, Texas will be celebrating the holiday in a unique way. They will be concocting The Mango Cloud which is a combo of Gin, Simple Syrup, Lemon Juice, Muddled Strawberries, and Sugaire™ Mango Chile Organic. Then cotton candy is placed into the glass and topped with Mango Moscato. This drink is a dream for anyone who loves cotton candy, it’s like being a kid again if kids could drink cocktails.
- Head to a museum. The Perot Museum has a new exhibit entitled Maya: Hidden Worlds Revealed. This exhibit is available in both English and Spanish and takes you into the world of this ancient civilization. Some of the activities include excavating an ancient burial site, building arches, deciphering hieroglyphs, and translating the Maya calendar.
- Go to a concert. James Taylor comes back to the Dallas area and he will be joined by Bonnie Raitt. They are doing a concert together at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. Take some time to appreciate the music and grab some food and drinks in Frisco town square.
