Just 12 kilometers from Tulum, near Cancun, traveling on the road to Felipe Carrillo Puerto, in a hidden place with a wooden sign at the entrance, is the lagoon Kaan Luum. An extraordinary place if you are looking for a quiet day surrounded by nature and colors. To the center of this lagoon, there is a cenote with 85 meters of depth, reason why its entrance is prohibited unless you have permission to dive and thus to be able to observe the life that is under the water.
The rest of the lagoon is ideal for anyone as it is not deep and you can stand without any problems. The difference of depths between the lagoon and the cenote is what causes that there are different shades of blue in the water.
This lagoon is a beautiful place and not very well known so there will not be many people and you can enjoy it together with your family and friends. The entrance of food is not allowed in the lagoon, only in a small palapa near this one. The blocker is prohibited, because of water care in the lagoon, take precautions.
The cost of entry to the lagoon is 50 pesos per person, if you want to enter the cenote to carry out some other activity the cost will be 150 pesos.
