Summer is time for friends, food, and fun. Even though fun is being had, you still need to focus on health. Those bikinis and summer BBQs sometimes aren’t the most flattering combinations. But, these three activities will help you keep those bodies fit while still having some summer fun.
- Kickball. Joining a kickball league is not only fun, but it’s an active way to stay in shape. Typically these leagues have a competitive edge, but are still places to be social and mingle. I recently played in a kickball league and enjoyed it to the fullest. I woke up in the morning and could tell I had been active, but at the time it only felt like fun. Leagues are everywhere so find one in your area and join it.
- Paddle-board. Paddel-boarding can be on lakes or oceans and they aren’t too expensive to rent. I did paddle-boarding in the Philippines and it was definitely a workout, but was extremely fun. See if there are paddle-board rentals in your area and get ready for a pastime you will love.
- Volleyball. Whether you are at a court on land or playing volleyball in the water, it is a good workout. A lot of parks or outdoor bars have some semblance of volleyball courts. This is a sport where teams are needed and it’s the perfect way to stay fit and meet some new people.
